House Whip Tom Emmer said on Wednesday that he is supporting former President Donald Trump in his re-election bid. With Emmer's announcement on X, all Republican House leaders have officially endorsed Trump for re-election.
"Democrats have made it clear that they will use every weapon at their disposal to keep Joe Biden and his failed policies in power." We cannot allow it. "It is time for Republicans to unite behind our party's clear frontrunner, which is why I am proud to endorse Donald J. Trump for President," Emmer said in a statement on X.
Emmer's declaration comes less than two weeks after House Majority Leader Steve Scalise endorsed Trump and fewer than two weeks before the Iowa caucuses, which kick off voting in the Republican presidential primary.

Trump hailed Scalise on his social media platform Truth Social, calling it a "great honor" to have his support. "I will not let you, or our Country, down!" Trump penned a letter.
According to the most recent CNN Poll of Polls update, the former president continues to dominate the Republican presidential primary field by roughly 40 percentage points, ahead of his main competitors, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.
Trump's dominant position comes as he is a defendant in numerous criminal trials, facing 91 accusations in four distinct cases. He's been combining his legal obligations as a defendant with campaigning in early vote states. Trump has pled not guilty to all of the charges leveled against him.
